Coming home to a loud and boisterous Woof is one of the best feelings anyone can experience. Seeing the joy and excitement in your dog's eyes as he dances around you, wagging his tail, is enough to revitalize anyone after a hard day!
Woof, my young, handsome, noble and intelligent German shepherd rescue was one of a kind whose life was stolen in an unfortunate accident and whose departure left a hole that was too big to fill.
Before I met him, I thought I knew dogs, but Woof unveiled a world of dogs to me of which I was previously unaware. For that I will be forever grateful.
This book, is a tribute to our pets-those that are still with us, and those that live only in our memories. It is a testament to how our dogs, specifically, improve our lives without our knowing it. Each quote is a life lesson that, I believe, will resonate with many readers. I sincerely hope you will be able to gain as much or more from them as I learned from Woof, himself.
The Hebrew word for dog is kelev meaning like the heart. What more needs to be said?
(There are two versions of this book, please purchase 102 Life Lessons from Woof and not 101 Things I learned - Thank you.)
Woof was an adventurous and wonderful dog. He managed to jump over the high wall and run. He was hit by a vehicle. My neighbor informed me that he saw a dog like Woof lying on the road. I drove up there with a friend and we were on the opposite side of the road and saw Woof lying in the center. It took us less than five minutes to get there but by that time he had dragged himself to the side of the road with a broken spine (I think). It would have been really hard to get him in the dark. I believe it was an angel that moved him in the side of road in oncoming traffic that quick. I could hold him in my arms and talk to him as he slipped away. Woof was sent by God into my life to tide me over some hard situations. Thank you God and thank you Woof. Love you and will miss you terribly.
Jewels has written a beautiful book. The story of Woof is heartwarming and heartbreaking. The one of a kind “love” filled my heart and made me cry as it was so beautifully told. I loved the insights she shares as learned from Woof. (Gretchen K)
The Art of Love!
Definitely a book to buy for all the dog lovers you know!! Highly recommend!
Beautiful story of a faithful dog, and the rescue that brought him into Jewels' life. The book is in three parts. The first is about Woof. The third's about other beautiful animals the author has loved. The middle section is filled with pithy observations that remind me of The Art of War, except this one is really The Art of Love. And, I happen to know that when the author lived in India she rescued children. So this story of rescued animals is perfectly in keeping with her character. I love this book! Would make a great gift for all those who love animals, and people. Thank you Jewels Williams!
